Characteristics of steel
Designation of the delivery state MC means the production technology TM – Thermomechanical rolling + ACC rapid controlled cooling together with the concept of microalloying and low carbon content creates a fine grain structure.
Heat treatment above 580 °C is not permitted and would result in a reduction of the minimum yield strength.
These steel grades also meet all the requirements of comparable steels according to EN 10149-2.
Suitability of steel use
This material is characterized by high strength and its use is related to this. Most often, chassis parts, parts of traction equipment structures are made from it, or this material can be used in the construction industry. Thanks to its mechanical properties, a smaller thickness of material can be used, which leads to a reduction in weight. The material can also be split with a flame, laser or plasma.
