Characteristics of steel
Steel with high amount of chromium Cr 11-12% and carbon C 2%. It is an oil hardening, high carbon/chromium type tool steel with very high wear resistance. It hardens with a very slight change in size. The alloy possesses very high compressive strength and is deep hardening.
Suitability of steel use
Steel is primarily intended for cold working tools. Cutting tools, usable for stamping, woodworking, drawing, deep drawing and pressin, for cutting transformer sheets and stainless steel sheets or high-strength strip steel up to a thickness of 4 mm. The steel is also suitable for the production of dies, drawing tools, suitable for extrusion tools, thread rolling tools, smooth and profile rolls. Usable for long life working tools.

Heat treatment
Pozvolné, pomalá chladnutí na vzduchu nebo v tepelně izolačním materiálu
Prohřát podle velikosti bloku / části formy, obvykle do 4 hodin a následně pomalu ochlazovat v peci
1 až 2 hodiny prohřát a pomalu ochlazovat v peci
S ohledem na tvarovou náročnost ochlazujeme v olejové nebo v teplé lázni kolem 400 °C
Ochlazovat na vzduchu, popouštění se řídí dle popouštěcího diagramu / dle tabulky popouštěcích hodnot
